2012 OPERATING PLEDGES

A pledge of any amount helps us plan our budget.  If you have not received a pledge card, but wish to, please contact the church office.   Pledge payments made after 12/30/11 will be credited to 2012, unless checks are dated 2011.  Thank you!

Operating Fund Envelopes
White envelopes in the pews are for Loose Plate Offerings for the Operating Fund, rather than missions. If using cash, you may write your name on the envelope. If using a check, please write “Operating Fund” in the memo.  Kindly do not use these envelopes for pledge offerings. Thank you.

Pledging at Church of Christ

An Introduction To Pledges - Pledges are annual financial commitments to support the ministries and operations of Church of Christ Congregational. Pledges made to the Operating Fund support such items as staff salaries, program and committee expenses, utilities, building maintenance, etc. Pledges made to our Dare to Dream Capital Campaign, which is now in its third year, support much-needed improvements and renovations to the physical plant of the church, chapel, parsonage and grounds. While all financial gifts to the church are of course welcome, pledges are vital because they make it possible to anticipate regular monthly income and to plan expenses accordingly.

Pledge Cards - To initiate your pledge, we ask that you fill out a pledge card. Both Operating Fund (colored) and Dare to Dream Capital Campaign pledge cards (white) are available in the Chapel foyer or from the church office.fill out the appropriate card andit intheoffertory basket, bring it to the church office, or mail it to the church at the address indicated.

Pledge Envelopes - If you wish to receive offering envelopes (available forFund pledges only), there is a space on the Operating Fund pledge card to indicate this.your pledge number may change, please do not reuse old envelopes. For Dare to Dream pledges, individual yellow pledge envelopes are available in the Chapel.

Meeting Your Pledge - To insure that your pledge payment is recorded properly, it is important that you indicate whether a payment is for an Operating Fund pledge or Dare to Dream pledge. If you are meeting your pledge with a check, please indicate this in the memo portion. If you are meeting your pledge with cash, kindly place it in your pledge envelope, or in a plain envelope (and indicate your name and which pledge it is for). If you plan to meet your pledge through an automated bill-paying system, or a stock transfer, please notify the church office in advance. All checks should be made payable to: "Church of Christ" and mailed to P.O. Box 582 in Norfolk.

Pledge Statements - Quarterly statements are mailed to all pledgers for both Operating Fund and Dare to Dream pledges. These statements are not intended as invoices, but listings of your contributions for your record-keeping purposes.

Pledge Questions - If at any time during the course of the pledge year you wish to adjust your pledge total, or have a question regarding your pledge or quarterly statement, please contact the church office. Thank you for your support!
