One Great Hour of Sharing

From the UCC

Thank you for your gift of $121.  Your donation will be used to support the International Emergency Fund.  Nearly one million Myanmar cyclone survivors have received temporary shelter and fresh water; 20,000 earthquake victims have received assistance in China; and families in Iowa have received aid with flood cleanup and rebuilding.  Good things happen when we share what we have!

The Chore Service

By Ella Clark, Director

Thank you so much for your generous gift of $260. I am particularly pleased because your outreach has prompted some Norfolk members to get in touch with us about their needs.  I am delighted that Nancy Eckel arranged for me to speak at your beautiful church, and that perhaps, as a result, we will be able to provide more services in Norfolk.  How lucky we are to have such an active congregation attending to the needs of others!  v

Dear People of the Norfolk Congregational Church,

Thank you so much for your contributions toward fixing our large print chapel bible.  The brand new binding, cover and gold-leaf have “brought it back to life.”  Extra special thanks should go to Barbara Moeckel for researching how to go about this task and carrying it through.  There were a few snags! There was additional money that was used for a brand-new music stand and 6 large-print hymnals, all of which are greatly appreciated.  Your generosity will be enjoyed for years to come. We can’t say it enough - thanks so much to Barbara Moeckel, Rev. Olsen and Rev. Mermann for all their time spent volunteering at both Geer Nursing and Rehab and Geer Village!  God Bless!   - The Staff and Residents of Geer Nursing and Rehab
