The Neighbors in Need offering will be received on Sunday, October 7th, as the UCC continues to celebrate its 50th “Jubilee” year. Scripture places particular significance on 50-year anniversaries - a year when justice is to be restored to all of God’s people and to the land, and people of faith are challenged to engage in bold acts of justice.  Debt is to be cancelled, captives and slaves liberated, the land is to lie fallow, and families and communities separated by debt and bondage are to be returned to their ancestral lands.
